Coach Sparkles

Chief Operating Officer

Hello! My name is Leigh but the kiddos know me as Coach Sparkles! I am the Chief Operating Officer of Gym Station. I started my journey with Gym Station in 2016 and have had the privilege of holding many titles within the company. I started off as a lead dance coach in DFW, then became the Assistant Director, Dance Director, then Director of Operations and now Chief Operating Officer! My passion for teaching children started in highschool when I taught competitive dance teams. I went on to receive a BFA in dance from The University of North Texas and moved to Chicago to teach Hubbard Street's Youth Dance Program. Once I moved back to DFW and started working for Gym Station, I quickly found that my passion for teaching children had grown in so many ways! Getting to teach not only dance but gymnastics, sports and fitness to children has been an absolute joy! I get to share the importance of living a healthy active lifestyle with hundreds of children each week and that makes my job awesome!

Coach Strawberry

Director of Operations

Hi, my name is Sharity, but the kids know me as Coach Strawberry! I have a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana Tech University and a M.S. in Human Nutrition at the University of Houston. I began dancing at the age of 3 and was a member of my jr. high, high school and college dance teams. In my free time, I enjoy painting, drawing, dancing, and competing in pageants. I have been working with kids in various roles since I was 11 years old (VBS, dance camps, P.E. teacher, etc.). I love making them smile and laugh and I especially love seeing the excitement in their eyes when they learn something new! I am really looking forward to growing with your little ones everyday as they learn to dance, flip, and play sports!

Coach Skittles

I'm Sydney but your children know me as Coach Skittles! Growing up I played just about every sport and played softball for 13 years. I know that learning the value of teamwork, responsibility and hard work starts at an early age and I want to be a part of teaching your child these traits. I also studied theatre in college and participated in many musicals which will help me teach your little one a few new dance skills. I have worked in early childcare for two years and I'm excited to continue working with your children as a team member of The Gym Station team.

Coach Buttercup

Hello! My name is Autumn but your kiddos know me as Coach Buttercup! I grew up loving dance! I was on the drill team in high school and have played soccer for years! My goal is to become a teacher and coaching has been a great way to pursue that while continuing my education! I can’t wait to have a blast with all of your kiddos this year.

Coach Brownie

I am Ahmed, but your kiddos know me as Coach Brownie! If you can't tell by the name, I am a huge foodie. In fact, that's the only professional sport I've played! During my free time I love to read, spend time with younger relatives, and cook (If you haven't had my FireCracker Salmon.... you haven't lived). I started teaching PE classes about 2 years ago and since then my passion for doing fun activities with kids has grown. I couldn't be more excited to share memorable experiences with your kids that will help reveal their passions in life!

Coach Curly

Hello! My name is Francesca, but your kiddos know me as Coach Curly! I have been dancing my whole life since I was about two years old, and even moved to Los Angeles, CA to study for a Bachelor's in Fine Arts to pursue my passion of Dance. I've been teaching for 7 years all around the US, and couldn't be blessed anymore for the opportunities I've received. I'm new to Houston but already love it, I can't wait to have fun with your little ones!

Coach Unicorn

Hello! I’m Asante but your children know me as Coach Unicorn. I was born and raised in New York and I moved to Texas in 2012, where I attended college. I’ve graduated with my degree in electronics engineering, but I’ve always had a strong passion for the arts and playing sports. I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old and I am trained in all styles of dance. I was captain of the cheerleading team in high school, played softball, and was a member of the color guard in high school. I’ve trained under top choreographers for my entire life. I’ve also had the opportunity to dance on Broadway and for celebrities as a kid. I am very passionate about dance and sports. I can’t wait to meet you all and I am excited for the school year.

Coach Bunny

Hi, I’m Macy, but the kids call me Coach Bunny! I love to dance, sing, and play! I played baseball for 4 years, soccer for 2 years, and took ballet lessons for 1 year! I have also taught early childhood education for 2 years. My favorite colors are baby blue and baby pink. In my freetime, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family. I hope to see you in my class, we’re going to have lots of fun!
