Coach Beans

Director of Operations

Hey guys!! I'm Josh, although I'm better known as Coach Beans. I'm 23 years old and I absolutely love my job as Director of Operations here in Austin. I was born and raised in central Texas and don't plan on leaving any time soon. I've been crazy about sports and physical activity my entire life and it's truly an honor to be spreading that excitement to your kids! My number one goal at Gym Station is to create a fun, creative and exciting atmosphere where your kids can learn the importance of health and exercise all while having a blast. Some of the things I like to do in my free time include long boarding, biking, playing recreational sports and hanging out with friends! I can’t wait to meet your kids and teach them all kinds of fun ways to practice their skills!

Coach Mermaid

Hello! My name is McKenna A.K.A. Coach Mermaid. I am the Dance Director in Austin, Texas and love it! I first started dancing when I was 6 years old when my parents enrolled me in tap and gymnastics. I picked up dance again in high school when I made the dance/drill team. After high school, I pursued dance and taught at different studios and joined two professional dance companies in the Austin area. When I was surrounded by a team of passionate dancers, that’s when I knew dance was what I wanted to do. I have been teaching dance all around the Austin area since 2013 and with The Gym Station since 2019. I have also worked as an ABA Therapist and provided dance therapy to kids on the spectrum. Teaching is my biggest passion and I love being able to share that passion every day with your kids. My goal is to make others feel creative, inspired, and empowered through dance as often as I can. I can't wait to continue to spread the love and power of dance with the kids I get to see everyday!

Coach Smiley

Hello all! My name is Antonio Lopez but the kiddos know me as Coach Smiley. I started playing sports at the age of 3. I believe starting at this age really helped me in the success of my academics and as an athlete playing soccer, basketball, and football at the high school level. My passion for working with kids started with my first job conducting summer sports camps. After multiple years of working with kids of all ages, I knew I wanted to turn my passion into a career. I am also a Personal Trainer and I enjoy working out, being outdoors, traveling, and hanging out with friends & family. I look forward to working with your kids and sharing my love for sports and fitness with them.

Coach Curly Fry

Howdy! My name is Christina but you can call me Coach Curly Fry! I am a true Austinite, born and raised! I started dancing when I was 3 years old and I haven’t stopped since. Growing up, I trained in multiple dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and many more! I was also a member of the competitive dance team at my studio for 10 years. After high school, I continued to pursue dance by joining a pre-professional collaborative dance company, teaching classes at my dance studio and choreographing for different organizations around the Austin area. Now I am currently a member of a competitive hip-hop team! I have always had a passion for healthy living and staying active through dance and exercise. This is why I decided to pursue my personal training certification through NASM and gain more knowledge about our bodies and to help others lead a healthy lifestyle too! When I’m not coaching, you can find me in the gym, hiking with my dog, crafting, or cooking. I can’t wait to get moving and grooving with your little one!

Coach Bumble Bee

COACH BUMBLE BEE IN THE HOUSE! My name’s Bethany and I buzzed over to Texas from South Louisiana. Growing up as a competitive dancer, fitness and healthy habits have always been an important part of my life. Teaching became a passion of mine when I taught a 5th-grade science class while I was in college and saw the excitement in the kids' eyes when they learned something new. Some of the things I like to do in my free time include dancing, kayaking, playing with my puppers, and exploring new parts of Austin. My goal during my classes is to find a way to make each and every kiddo laugh. After all, what's exercise without a bit of fun!
