Chief Operating Officer

Hello! My name is Leigh but the kiddos know me as Coach Sparkles! I am the Chief Operating Officer of Gym Station. I started my journey with Gym Station in 2016 and have had the privilege of holding many titles within the company. I started off as a lead dance coach in DFW, then became the Assistant Director, Dance Director, then Director of Operations and now Chief Operating Officer! My passion for teaching children started in highschool when I taught competitive dance teams. I went on to receive a BFA in dance from The University of North Texas and moved to Chicago to teach Hubbard Street's Youth Dance Program. Once I moved back to DFW and started working for Gym Station, I quickly found that my passion for teaching children had grown in so many ways! Getting to teach not only dance but gymnastics, sports and fitness to children has been an absolute joy! I get to share the importance of living a healthy active lifestyle with hundreds of children each week and that makes my job awesome!

Assistant Director

Hi! My name is Christina but your kids know me as Coach Star! I have been dancing since I was 3! I have studied all types of dance but my dance training focused primarily on ballet where I attended summer intensive programs with The Cecchetti Council of America. I have performed the nutcracker with the Donetsk Ballet Company from the Ukraine. I attended Stockton College in New Jersey and studied dance administration. I fell in love with teaching after college and worked in various developmental children's gymnastics gyms and dance studios ever since. I have been teaching for well over a decade! I am so excited to get to work with such a young age and teach them the love of dance and moving I’ve always had!

Coach Sunny

Director of Operations

Hi friends! My name is Melissa, but the kiddos know me as Coach Sunny because I love sunshine, sunflowers, and the color yellow! I have been a dancer since the age of three, practicing ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical, as well as other forms of performance art including aerial silks and color guard. I graduated from the University of North Texas with my bachelor’s in Child Development and taught public school for two years. During that time, I had the opportunity to coach the middle school cheerleading squad. I decided I needed a change of pace, and that’s when I found The Gym Station! Now I get to combine my passion for dance and fitness with my love for littles and nurturing their growth and development. I truly cannot wait to meet your children and be a bright and sunny part of their day!

Hello! My name is Terrance but the kiddos know me as Coach Smiley (because I love to smile). I was born and raised in Texas and have been playing sports since I could walk. I started coaching sports on a middle school level in 2015 and that’s when I knew my calling was with the kiddos. I never looked back! One of the reasons why I joined the Gym Station was because I wanted to coach and teach at the earliest child level. When your kiddos grow up they will be 100% be ready because Coach Smiley taught them everything they know - all while having FUN, FUN, FUN at the same time. Remember, don’t forget to smile!!

Coach Bubbles

Dance Director

Hi! My name is Ashlynn, but the kids know me as Coach Bubbles. I have lived in Texas my whole life and have been dancing since the age of three. After having practiced ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance throughout my childhood, I went on to receive a Bachelors in Dance studies from Texas Woman’s University. I have always loved children and throughout my college career I discovered my passion for working with children and teaching them dance. I am excited to get to know your kids and share my passion with them.

Coach Kangaroo

Hi! My name is Eily, but all the kids know me as Coach Kangaroo! I’ve been playing basketball since I was 4 years old and began coaching youth camps in 2016 with the Dallas Mavericks. I quickly realized how much I loved teaching, and started working at a preschool shortly after. I recently graduated with my Bachelors in Developmental Psychology from Liberty University. When I heard about Gym Station I knew it would be perfect for me! Sports and working with kids are my two passions and I love getting to share that. I’m so excited to continue coaching and sharing my knowledge with all your kiddos!

Coach Donkey

Hi y’all! My name is Nick but the kids know me as Coach Donkey! I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I coach Soccer and have coached high school, collegiate and at the club-level. I’ve been working with kids of all ages for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy the growth process.  Having earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Kinesiology, I’m looking forward to providing fun energy to our programs that encompasses both the educational and athletic side of activity. Looking forward to working with all your kiddos.

Coach Glitter

Hi! My name is Azariah but the kids know me as Coach Glitter! I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I have a passion for fitness all around. I ran track all four years of high school. It was so much fun!  My very first job out of high school was a preschool teacher and I absolutely loved it! I’m so happy I get to have both of my passions in one career at Gym Station! I am excited to share all of my knowledge with your children about fitness, and of course, how to have fun while doing it!

Coach Jelly

Hi my name is Maddie, but the kids call me Coach Jelly! I’ve lived in Texas for most of my life until I moved to Louisiana, Colorado, and then back home to Texas! I did cheer and Gymnastics for most of my childhood where I fell in love with the sport, and while in highschool realized my love of coaching. After graduating high school I went straight into working in childcare, and have worked with kids for the past 6 years.  They have been the best years of my life. I’m so excited to continue my coaching career and teach your kids all I have to offer.
