Coach Sparkles

Chief Operating Officer

Hello! My name is Leigh but the kiddos know me as Coach Sparkles! I am the Chief Operating Officer of Gym Station. I started my journey with Gym Station in 2016 and have had the privilege of holding many titles within the company. I started off as a lead dance coach in DFW, then became the Assistant Director, Dance Director, then Director of Operations and now Chief Operating Officer! My passion for teaching children started in highschool when I taught competitive dance teams. I went on to receive a BFA in dance from The University of North Texas and moved to Chicago to teach Hubbard Street's Youth Dance Program. Once I moved back to DFW and started working for Gym Station, I quickly found that my passion for teaching children had grown in so many ways! Getting to teach not only dance but gymnastics, sports and fitness to children has been an absolute joy! I get to share the importance of living a healthy active lifestyle with hundreds of children each week and that makes my job awesome!

Coach Beans

Director of Operations

Hey guys! My name is Josh but I'm better known as Coach Beans. I'm 25 years old and I absolutely love my job as Director of Operations here in Austin. I was born and raised in central Texas and don't plan on leaving any time soon. I've been crazy about sports and physical activity my entire life and it's truly an honor to be spreading that excitement to your kids! My number one goal at Gym Station is to create a fun, creative, and exciting atmosphere where your kids can learn the importance of health and exercise. Some of the things I like to do in my free time include golfing, playing pickle ball, and hanging out with friends. I can't wait to meet your children and teach them all kinds of fun ways to practice their skills!

Coach Mermaid

Hello! My name is McKenna A.K.A. Coach Mermaid. I am the Dance Director in Austin, Texas and love it! I first started dancing when I was 6 years old when my parents enrolled me in tap and gymnastics. I picked up dance again in high school when I made the dance/drill team. After high school, I pursued dance and taught at different studios and joined two professional dance companies in the Austin area. When I was surrounded by a team of passionate dancers, that’s when I knew dance was what I wanted to do. I have been teaching dance all around the Austin area since 2013 and with The Gym Station since 2019. I have also worked as an ABA Therapist and provided dance therapy to kids on the spectrum. Teaching is my biggest passion and I love being able to share that passion every day with your kids. My goal is to make others feel creative, inspired, and empowered through dance as often as I can. I can't wait to continue to spread the love and power of dance with the kids I get to see everyday!

Coach Kiwi

Hello! Coach Kiwi here! I was born and raised in San Jose, California, but have called Texas home since 2016. Growing up, I spent most of my days after school assisting my mother with her daycare business. During this time I grew a love for influencing the growth and development of children. In addition, I am the oldest sister of six siblings…so taking care of kiddos is something I’ve done my whole life! In my youth, I was very involved in choreographed dancing and had the opportunity to create routines of my own. In addition, I am a newly certified yoga instructor - I get the opportunity to coach and assist others in their journey of physical and spiritual healing. Put all of these experiences together and you’ve got a coach who is PASSIONATE about helping others grow! What job is better than that!?

Coach Bingo

What’s up guys it’s Coach Bingo! Better known as Nick. I was born and raised around Austin my whole life. I grew up playing every sport and by the time I got to high school, I played football, basketball and baseball for my HS team. After High School, I went to play baseball in college at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. When I’m not coaching, I’m always at sporting events or playing outside with my dogs. Loving sports, I grew to love coaching kids, as I coached many kids baseball camps. Being a good role model and putting smiles on kids faces goes a long way! Now, since I’ve moved back from college, Gym Station is the perfect place for me!! I love coaching and having fun with kiddos.

Coach Spaghetti

Hey y’all! My name is Syncere but with the kiddos I go by Coach Spaghetti! I am 22 years old and I was born all the way in west Texas in a beautiful city called El Paso. I moved to Austin in 2013 and have loved it ever since, there’s no place like it! Growing up I played every sport I could get my hands on and my weekends were constantly filled with basketball tournaments and football games! I absolutely love sharing my knowledge of sports I’ve learned over the years with the kiddos, my favorite part is just watching them grow and gain the confidence to succeed in their favorite sports!

Coach Coconut

What’s goodie everybody! My name is Coach Coconut, but my real name is James! I was born and raised in Austin and have been working with kids since I was one myself! Fun fact about myself, I was voted 8th best mascot in the country my sophomore year of college, and went to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor! In my free time, I manage my own YouTube channel and Twitch stream, and I also am a host for the Austin Spurs! I feel that I was put on this planet to have an impact in the lives of our youth, and I’m excited to have the chance to work with you and yours!!

Coach Pickles

Hello hello hello! My name is Pasha but the kids will get to know me as Coach Pickles! I’m new to the Austin area and can’t wait to meet all the new faces here at the Gym Station. I’m originally from a small mountain town where I grew up playing among the trees with my two brothers. I then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where I studied Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Utah. From a young age my parents nurtured a love for adventure and exercise and through that I found dance as well as a multitude of other activities such as snowboarding, climbing, lifting, and backpacking. I’ve worked with young kids in a multitude of ways such as daycare, therapy, biking, and ski sports. I even received my Children Specialist Certification from PSIA which certified me to work specifically with young individuals. With that being said, dance is what started it all for me and it sparked a joy within me that I cannot wait to share with these little tots!

Coach Cupcake

Hey y’all! My name is Lorely, but you can call me Coach Cupcake! I am 25 years old and was born down by the border in Brownsville, Texas. I’ve been dancing my whole life and don’t have any plans to stop. I was recently a preschool teacher and have taught dance to littles since I was in high school. I love to connect and share my love of dance with others by tapping into their creative side. Dance is my favorite way to express myself and I hope I can create the same joy for your kiddos! See you on the dance floor!
